Thomas Gerald Putman, 57, of Joplin, passed away Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, after a long battle with cancer. Thomas was born May 21, 1954, in West Berlin, German, to Gerald and Gisela Putman. He was a lifelong resident of the Joplin area. Survivors include his mother, Gisela, of Joplin; wife, Lorri; son, Ethan and daughter, Presley, all of the home; son, Jeremiah and family, of Kansas City; son, Joshua, of Seoul, South Korea; brother, Mike and family, of Phoenix, Ariz.; sister-in-law, Teri and family, of Wisconsin; and uncle, Charles Putnam and family, of Joplin. He was preceded in death by father, Gerald; and brother, David. Visitation will be held Wednesday, Jan. 18, from 7 to 8 p.m. at Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary with services Thursday, Jan. 19, at 10 a.m. at Thornhill-Dillon.
